We discovered the classic rum punch years ago on the Caribbean island of Grenada. This recipe makes two drinks, but rum punch is easily made and enjoyed by the pitcher, on the porch with friends!
1 ounce lime juice
2 ounces simple syrup
3 ounces good white rum
4 ounces water
freshly grated nutmeg
lemon twist
Combine ingredients and stir vigorously. Serve in a tall glass or a tiki glass with lots of ice, a dusting of nutmeg, and a lemon twist.
