The famed Cuban cocktail in its classic form.
2 ounces white rum (or, if you prefer, dark rum, with simple syrup reduced by half)
1/2 tsp simple syrup
1/2 ounce lime juice
Combine ingredients in cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake well and strain into chilled martini glass. Garnish with orange twist.
