We learned this variant of the Tequila Sunrise during a stay on the North Shore of Oahu. We named our version in honour of the excellent surfing town of Haleiwa!
6 ounces orange juice
2 ounces rum
1 tbsp grenadine
fruit for garnish
Combine rum and orange juice. Pour 2/3 into tall glass with crushed ice. Combine the remaining 1/3 with grenadine. Slowly pour into glass and allow to settle. Garnish with orange slice or fruit skewer.
